It's well-established - but it has aged like fine wine without new posts because I'm trying to revamp it. For that, I look to the support of three professionals (with input from even more), who have helped me (1) to set it up, (2) to maintain it, and (3) to prepare for the new look. I have a monthly blog in the "Toucan" segment of comic-con.org - and all I do there is provide text and art scans. It is a great idea to maintain a journal; you'll be able to use it as an eventual resource from which to access content. Note about art: Jpgs are best at 72 dots per inch (TOO SMALL for print, mind you). I'd suggest consulting with local advisors - which is what I did. Library? School? Fellow online buddies? They can help.Maggie Thompsonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17330911771595134128noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1997737399503204439.post-67463912271151244662017-12-11T18:46:14.478-06:002017-12-11T18:46:14.478-06:00Hey, Katy, I have the photo. At the (must have been...) 1884 Comic Con, Don walked up to me to get a photograph, I think, and KNEW ME BY NAME! I'd only been lettering professionally for all of 5 or 6 months, but Don Thompson knew who I was! I think that, even more than getting paid by for-real comics companies, made me feel like a real professional, and certainly made me grin for the rest of the con. And I'm still grinning, just thinking about it.Lois2037https://www.blogger.com/profile/04776736493772592187noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1997737399503204439.post-41054767265254234682016-12-01T10:54:15.717-06:002016-12-01T10:54:15.717-06:00Hi Maggie, just ran across a story called "Th...Hi Maggie, just ran across a story called "The Ones" by Betsy Curtis in Marvel Science Stories May 1951. I hope all is well, sounds like your auctions have been doing well so far - I wish you the best of luck with those!
I have a query and I'm not sure how best to get in contact with you about it, but I'm hoping you don't mind if I ask here.
Many years ago - either in late 1993 or early 1994, your amazing husband Don wrote a lovely little review of a comic series that I was self-publishing down in Australia. It was called "Bug & Stump", and he was very kind to it! The review was a quick one, mentioned in his run-down of independent titles.
Unfortunately it's proving very hard to find old copies of the CBG Monthly down here in Australia... I was wondering if, perhaps, you may have access to copies of the CBG from that time? I'd love to find out which issue it appeared in. If you were able to help me out, I'd be extremely grateful!
Thanks so much for everything!

Mark Sexton, inkymonkey@bigpond.comAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
